1. CNW SD40-2 6829 built in February 1974 and became UP 2977, photoed on May 11, 1974, Vincent J. Porreca photo.

2. CNW SD40-2 6899 built in January 1975 and became UP 3064, photoed on June 19, 1979, Vincent J. Porreca photo.

3. L&N GP35 1124 built in June 1965 as C&EI 268 on June 27, 1993, Vincent J. Porreca photo.

4. MJRX SD20 1021  built as SOU 6315 in 1960 as an SD24, ex-IC 2021, probably in Gothenburg, NE. no date, unknown photographer.

5. SOO SD40-2 6611 built May 1980, November 22, 1988 in Bensenville, IL, unknown photographer.

6. UP GP40 686, ex-C&NW 5501 built 1965 and retired in May 2000, no date, unknown photographer.

Marty - #3 is a GP35 (and a fairly clean one at that, for the L&N!) not the pretty-rare SDP35.

Marty,  Thanks for all the memories your pictures stir.

#4 is certainly Gothenburg, Nebraska.  My picture is from 8/21/17, a few hours after the eclipse.
#6 is not a GP40, but an ex-MP GP38-2.  On Utahrails there are two #686s listed.  My picture is from 3/30/01, Butler, Wisconsin.
