An SP Small Sunday
Author: photobob

X-6359 East coming out of the Small Siding after a meet with a westward train in 1962. This siding was the first siding after leaving Dunsmuir on an eastward train and was located about four miles up river from Dunsmuir, The signal and siding were removed in the early 1990's due to the fact that the siding was to small for modern trains.

Small, my favorite siding north of Dunsmuir.  Great composition with the cantilever and tree in the foreground.  Thanks for sharing photobob.

Pretty nice shot.  We took photos of eastbound 4449 from atop the signal cantilever in 1981.
Got a good blast of oil smoke up the nose.

What a nice looking "SMALL"  forest. No fire danger there...
