Found this brief glimpse of the railcar operating at the Saltair Resort by the Great Salt Lake in the 16mm cine film I am currently restoring.

This beast looks like a close cousin to one of the California Western "Skunk" cars.

Saltair MC-3 is the California Western M-300.

Well Charlie, Guess that would be close enough!!  And again, as you have already done several times,  a big thanks for your filling in gaps in my memory bank/info base.

Didn't know it was Saltair before California Western, learn something new every day!  Very cool photo.

According to Wikipedia and railpictures.net California Western M-300 was built by American Car & Foundry (ACF) in 1935
as Seaboard Airline 2026. Next it was Aberdeen & Rockfish #106, then in 1951 became Salt Lake Garfield & Western M.C. 3.
California Western acquired the car in 1963. Others will have to fill in details of its demise---assuming it has passed away.

Unless something has happened very recently, California Western still rosters "skunk" M300.
