Coming up on the 10 year anniversary of shooting NS 11A coming out of Altoona PA westbound with a Conrail painted SD40-2 leading units from UP, CSX and CITX (Former NS Unit), one of those trains I was not expecting to shoot since I was on my way to work, and saw this and turned around for home to grab my video camera and still camera. Calling in late saying (I don't have an excuse) but almost never calling off or showing up late, no issues were had when I did show up, over an hour plus being late. Shot this on December 2nd 2011. I miss these days! Enjoy. Shot at the Brickyard Crossing in Altoona, then up at Bennington Curve, and then right before the entrance to the Allegheny Tunnel. Note you can see the shadows of an Eastbound on the slide on track 1.

I really liked how, in the last clip, you were filming one train in front of you, while the shadow of another train going in the other direction also passed.

The fact that all units were online was really neat. Most power moves these days have only the front 3 working.
