That would mean this is a mid train helper set on an eastbound train probably a 264 or Drag Freight East.

Are there any known color shots of these units when they were painted black ? Date: 10/13/21 10:44 Re: BB: MILW Boxcab trio @ Avery ID w/fall colors (10/71) Author: fbe I have seen color photos of the pelicans in black. Some had red roofs like MILW steam locomotives did. These roofs tended to weather to a brownish boxcar brown.
I don't know is the red locomotive roofs started on the Rocky Mountain Division or the Coast Division. Date: 10/13/21 13:57 Re: BB: MILW Boxcab trio @ Avery ID w/fall colors (10/71) Author: LarryDoyle train1275 Wrote:

The three "surviving" units on display are E57B (in orange, black, and maroon with gold lettering) and 10200A&B (in black with white letteing). -LD |
