Switcher Saturday: Reaching back in Denver

Other than the joint C&S ~ AT&SF arrangement, I don’t know a whole about this scene except: WOW! Once upon a time railroad men used to show up for work and switch freight cars all the live long day with engines like this...

Lance, you told me you had a neat posting for today and it sure is. It looks like the engine is very clean for 1956, when a lot of photos from that time frame show engines not being clean like this one, plus a perfect (to me) picture of a steam engine, shows lots of detail. Keep up the good work, 7kscav

The neighborhood in back of the tender is really intriguing to me it's pretty 25 pre-diamond Hill office is Pre mile high stadium across the South Platte river, as well as the fabulous foreground
