Farewell to a Norden icon

Looking at Boilinmans post yesterday the signal bridge at Norden is now out of service and will be dismantled in a few weeks. It seems the brigade will be  put on display in Truckee. Here's a photo I took of it back in December 1961 with X-6396 west rolling under it.

PhotoB- at first glance I thought this was before the shed was extended West, but looking closer…
Is this just after the big fire?

A month after the fire. The shed didn't get extended west until 1972
