Nostalgia & History > WP SwitchersDate: 12/03/21 09:17 WP Switchers Author: Espee1001 The engineer of WP SW9 602 is seen reviewing his paperwork for the next switching assignment at the yard in Stockton, CA.
WP SW9 604 looking a little overmatched in a sea of UP yellow, is seen heading into the yard at Stockton, CA. for the next switching assignment. WP NW2 608 idles patiently in the yard at Stockton, CA. waiting for it's next call to duty. Thanks again for looking! Randy Date: 12/03/21 10:04 Re: WP Switchers Author: TomG Great shots Randy.

WP 602 is the only WP SW9 to escape the SW10 rebuild program. 601, 603, 605, 606 all became SW10s. 604 was partly stripped and the program ended, so it was scrapped. 601 later went to WestCo fertilizer in Calgary, AB, Canada. WestCo sold the facility to Viterra. Confirmed the 602 was still there a few years ago, but haven't heard about it lately. Updates appreciated! WP 608 is now at the Western Pacific Railroad Museum in solid WP orange. Note the unique stacks. Gerry
