.   .   .   twenty two years ago, GATEWAY WESTERN RAILWAY 1502 was switching the intermodal facility in Venice, IL. TO ME, looks like a former P&LE, or, for those NOT in the know, PITTSBURG AND LAKE ERIE, unit.

What is the GWWR?  Can't you take a few seconds and spell it out for all of us who do not know what those initials stand for?  Why is this asking so much?

I don't recall seeing Gateway Western units without some kind of yellow on them-stripes usually.  I'm sure it's because I didn't live back there.  This reminds me of a PC unit from long ago..

Well, thank you.  That wasn't too hard now was it?  Just remember that everyone who belongs to Train Orders, we all don't know every railroad across the nation.  That is why it is so important to spell it out so that we can learn about many operations over the years.  Thanks again.

Gateway Western #1502 was indeed built as Pittsburgh & Lake Erie SW1500 #1537.
