Nostalgia & History > Weedy platform told the storyDate: 05/07/22 13:16 Weedy platform told the story Author: Copy19 Back in the summer of 1969 I caught Western Pacific's fabled California Zephyr eastbound gliding through Blairsden, Calif. in Feather River country. The train's days would end in a few weeks but its classic round end dome observation car belied its doom. I tried to ignore the weeds. This picture always makes me wistful. But I'm glad I was there.
