New York Central location help
Author: NB1001

I am scanning slides taken by a friend of mine. This particular slide has no location marked. The date is marked as June 4, 1966. He was living in Erie, Pennsylvania at the time and regular haunts were Erie and Northeast, PA. I am not familiar with this territory. The background does not look like Northeast. Is it Erie or is it somewhere else?

Sure looks like Erie to me. Cool set of power !   Also looks like the manual Alco cooling system is in operation on the first 2 units

Very nice, looks like 3 of their 25 Alco RS32 units in the front - only NYC and SP had them.

This is a westbound train at Erie, PA.  Photo was taken near the east end of the station platforms.  The building on the left is the US Postal Service building at State St and East 14th Street.
Thanks for sharing this great shot.
