Question about #7 with 2440 in "White Heat".
Author: ExStarlightHog

The opening scenes of the movie "White Heat" show #7 with 2440 coming out of what appears to be tunnel 20.  Also visible in another shot was the number plate (4412?) of a nearby semaphore signal.  Anyone know where that was filmed?  The movie is from 1949.  The Tehachapi's maybe?

I believe it was filmed in the Santa Susanna Mountains in Southern California, between the San Fernando Valley, and Simi Valley.

Okay.  Thanks.  All that area probably looks much different now.

Oh, yes.  In the opening credits, the camera pans across the still rural San Fernando Valley.  That's all completely changed.
