Nostalgia & History > C420s on their delivery run

They aren't brand new, but it's a few days before Conrail conveyance day. Late March, 1976, and some of the units that are coming to the D&H as part of the massive reorganization  are being delivered. Seen here northbound through Central Bridge, NY. I was driving at this point, but the platform of this freight house was a frequent target in my bicycle railfanning days a few years prior. 

Lehigh Valley power was no stranger to D&H rails, but the run through trains of the time almost always ran with C628s.
