Thursday 36s

A pair of yellow MP-lettered C36-7s head up a WB NLFW train on the belt line in south Dallas in summer '87. Thanks for looking...

Anyone know if these are still running in Eastern Europe where they were sent off to long ago?

58 C36-7's and 19 ex-Conrail C30-7A's were re-gauged and shipped to Estonia by Baltic Rail Services.  I do not know how many C36's still run today; in 2019, the number, according to one report, was 30.  One was converted to run on LNG last year.  The lines run by Baltic Rail Services were sold back to the Estonian government, and the operation is now called Operail.

Here's an article written when the LNG-fueled unit was released: https://www.globalrailwayreview.com/news/126150/operail-lng-locomotive/
