Here's a shot I got of Amtrak on 6-16-82 ... at least it wasn't snow! But those dirt access roads back then could get pretty muddy when it rained ...

It was always a treat to get a consist with one of the old Hi-Levels in it; the luggage racks were tiny but the seats were oh so much better than the Superliners'.

Correct ... I started this series back on 7/20 ... seems like a good idea to provide sonething I included in that first installment so that for those who haven't been following 'OTH' it will provide some context:

From my post of 7/20/22:This post is the first in this series which is titled ‘OTH’ … short for ‘Over The Hill” (careful with interpretations : ^ ). The locations for these pictures are Cheyenne and environs (and a little east to Archer), and Laramie … and the UP in between is the source of the title. 'The Hill’, of course, is named Sherman.
