Nostalgia & History > F-Unit Friday - CR 1825Date: 09/23/22 05:11 F-Unit Friday - CR 1825 Author: refarkas On September 2, 2022, I posted a George Cheatwood photo taken here on December 23, 1978. It is now February 10, 1979 at this same Cleveland, Ohio location. This time the lashup is CR 1825, 1855, 1833, 1791. All are F7A's.

Looking back now it seems hard to believe they were around for so long after 4-1-1976. And I also recall being out photographing Conrail that same day in Upstate New York, and it was 5 below zero ! CLASSIC! :^) Lance Date: 09/23/22 09:45 Re: F-Unit Friday - CR 1825 Author: Notch7 That's a wonderful F-unit pic. It's great to see a matched set of CR F's.

Thanks again, Randy in PHX Date: 09/23/22 13:07 Re: F-Unit Friday - CR 1825 Author: Gateway97 That CR Spartan scheme allowed you to enjoy the lines and details of the locomotive without a paint scheme getting in the way.

ALLEN Date: 09/23/22 17:30 Re: F-Unit Friday - CR 1825 Author: realscott So typical of Cleveland in the 70's. You might note that to the right of this photo, stand the remains of the catanary supports of the old Cleveland Union Terminal.. Great pic.
