Nostalgia & History > Carolina SouthernDate: 10/06/22 05:35 Carolina Southern Author: RJM29 Three shots from the Carolina Southern taken 2009-2010.
They operated about 95 miles of former CSX/SCL/ACL trackage in North and South Carolina. Operations ended in 2012 with the line eventually being taken over by R.J. Corman. 1. Chop-nosed GP18 958, still marked for MiD-Atlantic RR, runs, slowly, southbound out of Chadbourn for Conway SC on 12 July 2009. 2. Two units, a GP38 and GP30, spending the weekend near the CSX crossing in Mullins, SC. 26 November 2010. 3. Baltimore & Annapolis SW9 87 seemed to be something of a fixture at the road's Chadbuorn headquarters. It was never remarked as far as I know. 3 July 2009. Rick Morgan KCMO Edited 1 time(s).
