NKP 190 News - Portland
Author: asheldrake

Yesterday the 190 was given a roof wrap, not because of a leaky roof, but because it is being prepared to winter outside as space is freed up for Polson #`2 and later the Mount Emily at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center in Portland.  While a very dry summer, and a dryer October here in Portland, rumor has it that November may be damp.      Arlen

I remember 190 went to Streamliners at Spencer but I don't recall hearing whether it's fully operational or not. I don't remember it running at Spencer, I don't think.

I've heard that it runs, just needs all of the wiring and such redone. Maybe someone that knows more about it can let us know.

I sure hope Dale has willed a forward progression to return the NKP 190 to operational status in his abscence. It would be a travesty for Dale to have brought NKP 190 this far to remain unoperational. So close...
Dale, What say you?
