A westbound Amtrak train from St. Louis to Kansas City passes fields nearing harvest, or just harvested, near Osage City, Missouri on October 18, 2014. Even in a world torn by war and dissension, there is so much for which to be thankful as we gather in the days ahead with family and friends, and celebrate the bounty of the land and all that is good among us. Safe travels and Happy Thanksgiving to all. Oh, beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain....
