Tank Car Train Tuesday - EB East of Soda Springs, September 2010

Just west of Donner Summit and unfortunately shooting into the sun.
Two SD70ACEs lug an eastbound train of tank cars up the hill.
I don't recall seeing many tank trains on Donner, not recently at least.

Empty ethanol train headed back to the midwest. Probably delivered ethanol to one of the refineries on the bay.

Stockton  or Selby empty ethanol as none of the Bay Area refineries take Union train ethanol it all goes to terminals and then is either pipe to loading racks and then splash blended with the gasoline per rack refiners or marketers spec of at least 10%.
