search for "clear signal southern pacific"
Early 1950s? Some engines have radios,
and one guy has a radio over his shoulder.

At 0:29, could be train 11 at the old overpass
north of Giant; maybe 1:04 is there too.
And maybe 8:57 is the same curve.

Pretty clear that 1:11 to 1:20 is Newcastle.

What's the auto at 6:18?

How about 8:08 -- is that 28 at Martinez?
Conditional stop scheduled there, probably.

At 7:30, train 922 was an afternoon departure
out of Watsonville Jct. Is 7:45 south of Watsv Jct?
If so, not the same train as 7:30.

At 9:37, train 921 suggests somewhere north of King City.
At 9:40 Hwy 101 is just west of the track, so somewhere
south of Soledad?

Wide platform between two tracks at 10:08 -- easy to locate?

Where's the shot at 14:29? Signal bridge.

guessing someone will recognize that structure on the right. Wonder what that is. 

Ah! You're right. I should have remembered
the signal bridge is the eastward bridge at
Shellmound .The grade crossing this side
of it is Park Ave,

SP did 2 of these, one in 47 and the second in 52

Any idea what the structure to the right of the signal bridge is? The one with the three levels way above the ground? 

Don't see it in the 1965 aerials.

Seems to me the mystery structure and the
signal bridge (with searchlights) appear on
the back of the justjacket of one of the SP
Morning Suns, with red/gray F's approaching
the camera. No idea what it is, but I have
a vague recollection another one like that
was next to SP somewhere else. (Very vague
recollection, tho.)
