CR/NS/PRR  GP38  2943 working for Conrail Shared Assets Operation sitting at Morrisville,PA. on 2/6/2002. It was given this paint job in 2001 for Conrail's 25th birthday. Started life as PC 7899 and was, I believe, later involved in a wreck while in CSAO service. It was eventually rebuilt into Road Slug (RP-E4C) NS 708.

Interesting. I found it very difficult to access the Morrisville Yard area. It wasn't gated but it was rather intimidating to consider entering. Altough much more open I was busted a few years later at the Abrams Yard by an NS Gumshoe who detained me and put my info in his "Black Book" after a very miniscule "trespass"if one would even call it that. If I had parked there to change a flat tire it would have been totally okay, but to take a photo, No Go, trespassing!
Whatever I got a couple crappy shots and put in his NS Terrorist File! Doomed forever...

You are correct about tighter security around Morrisville. It was only the fact that this unit was sitting out in the open that lured us in. We did a quick hit and run and got out before causing an All Points Bulletin to be declared.
