BN 1991 at Galesburg RR Days

Early in 1991, the Burlington Northern renumberd and repainted SD60M BN 1991 into a special scheme in a show of  support for the armed forces in Desert Storm. Caboose 12618 also received a similar paint scheme.
These pictures show them on display at Galesburg Railroad Days that summer (and yes, that's me standing on the steps of the caboose).

Galesburg is one of my all time favorite cities. In the 80s & 90s I made Amtrak transfers there,dined at the Packing House and first location on the rr I marked up at.                                                                                                                                                               .Sam Andrews
