Marty - thanks for these amazing photos from Bill Howes.  The old ACL scheme was both colorful and elegant, very striking.  We don't get to see many color shots of it.  Also neat to see the street trackage in Saint Petersburg, views from a more laid back and quieter time.

Excellent, Marty, especially #4 showing the street running in St. Petersburg.
That ended in 1962 when ACL moved to a new station on the north side of town.
Imagine living there then with that great balcony view!  Thanks, Marty!
Also, SAL relocated to a new facility in 1959.

I like seeing the "gasometers/gas holders" in image 4. They just quietly disappeared from the scene without me even noticing.
