Lord I miss those Q trips.  Never missed any out of St. Louis.  Rode behind 5632 from Kansas City.  They did an excellent job!
Talked my Dad into going on one (Frisco engineer who ran steam) to Hannibal and he got my future wife, himself and I in the cab for a runby.  Fun days.
Had someone told me that in 30 years I would be engineer on 1522 running up and down the K Line I would have thought they were drunk or crazy.
