Nostalgia & History > Depot Friday: Interurban StyleDate: 04/19/24 16:01 Depot Friday: Interurban Style Author: MacBeau Waiting for the next Sandusky, Milan & Norwalk car. There is no date on this image from the Richard Egen collection, but would be before the 1901 takeover by the Lake Shore Electric.

My first wife and I somehow came in possession of a great example of a steamer chest akin to the one on the baggage cart. It was a great "Hippie" project. We kept the exterior completely original while re-finishing and decorating the interior and the drop-in 2 compartment tray. It sat at the foot of the bed. Hmmm? I wonder where that went? I'm guessing with the ex when I divorced her along with all my rail slides of the era. She wasn't real happy about that whole divorce thing.
Such is life. Gonut |
