Nostalgia & History > CB&Q 9400B on June 4, 1964Date: 04/22/24 09:40 CB&Q 9400B on June 4, 1964 Author: MartyBernard CB&Q 9400AB through 9413AB were built by EMD as TR2s, i.e., two switchers rear to rear with only one having a cab. Each TR2 was separated and rebuilt about 1954 as full NW2s, both with cabs.
CB&Q TR2 9400AB were EMD Demonstrators and were numbered 912AB. This photo shows 9400B separated from its cow and with a cab added became a NW2 in about 1954.
