Nostalgia & History > KCS SD40s, Shreveport ? (location help)

A scan of an old print negative, taken in July, 1978 with my backup camera (not the best lens). A pair of Kansas City Southern SD40s, 603 and 627, roll across a trestle "near Shreveport, Louisiana". Is that a good location, maybe starting to cross the Red River ? I sat down under a tree to get some shade after this photo and wait for another train, only to fall asleep and then be awakened by fire ants all over my legs...yuck.

Knowing the area fairly well, it looks TO ME like the crossing of Caddo Lake at Mooringsport, ten miles north of Shreveport yard. Nice catch.

 Thanks JB. I remembered this was somewhere near Shreveport, but I only took one print at this location and didn't record anything in my notes.
