I regret that when I iived in NJ prior to 1973 that I never did any railfanning in Phillipsburg.  During the 1960s the
CNJ ran about 8-10 freight trains (plus a few passengers), the EL 2, the LV about 8-10, the PRR 6 (plus some local freights)
and the L&HR ?  More freight running thru there than Bound Brook, and probably the busiest in the state for
freight.  I believe all the ore Pennsy handled from Baltimore-Phila. to Bethlehem Steel went up the Bel-Del via
P'burg - not sure if any moved in unit trains.
