KM at Martinez
Author: photobob

I was over at Martinez one night and was told there was a KM leading an eastbound.  I had my flash equipment with  me so I figured a night shot was in order. There was a Train master visiting with the operator and I told him my plan. He said blast them and scare the hell out of em. The SP was great.

The crew probably thought it was a lightning ⚡️ strike. Good study of the instrument panel on the back bulkhead too. A rare study of a short lived rare SP locomotive.

I'd say you succeeded with the Trainmaster's instructions! There's some amazing detail of not only the crew but also the cab interior. A truly fine shot!

Great photo, Bob.
I'm reminded of the saying attributed to Louis Pasteur: "Chance favors the prepared mind".  Substitute photographer for mind in this instance.
