Depot Friday: WM Style

Buena Vista Springs, Maryland sometime between 1900-10. Credit the Detroit Photographic Company for this interesting look back in time.
Be of good cheer,

What an inviting scene. This is photographic time travel at its best.

CSX local rolling westbound to Hagerstown, 11/9/2020
The Buena Vista station sat within the grassy lot just beyond the crossing.
Unfortunately a Dollar General is proposed for the property next to this area.

As bigsavage subtly noted, the station name is actually "Buena Vista". Buena Vista Springs is in Washington Twp, Franklin Co., PA.
I don't care what the LOC calls it. Those librarians over there are sensitive, so I'm hoping my pointing out this gross discrepancy won't result in the FBI kicking down my front door at 5 AM.
The Buena Vista station name was later changed to Camp Ritchie, and then Fort Ritchie.
This is a valuation photo from around 1917.
