Interesting that the SP6440 is running as the the X6230. Being an SP guy myself this happened occasionally. I am assuming that the trailing F7 is the SP6230 in the consist. There are a couple of reasons that come to mind such as the power is flipping back at some point (train setting out at Ozol?). My experience with the Union Pacific was that they always wanted the leading unit on the orders. So in a case like this you would contact the dispatcher and change your ordrers to reflect the engine on the point if a move like this was occuring. Great picture of a time in the past!

Look closer, looks like a gondola between the rear F and the switcher. And that cab profile on the switcher looks like an Alco to me.
