Comments below about what train this was caused me to remember that I ihad more info about this photo and I found it: " On Aug. 6, 1965 Fogg photographed several UP trains in Laramie, WY ... "MILW E9A #35A heads up EB Train 106." Edited 3 time(s). Last edit at 04/28/24 16:09 by valmont. Date: 04/28/24 13:20 Re: Fogg in Laramie Author: timz Must be the City of Portland
https://wx4.org/to/foam/sp/maps/perryETT/1965-04-25UP_Wyoming38-SheldonPerry.pdf Wouldn't have thought it would be that long. Date: 04/28/24 13:25 Re: Fogg in Laramie Author: dan still running thru Denver, airline strike?
Date: 04/28/24 13:29 Re: Fogg in Laramie Author: timz Yeah, it will turn right at Borie. The strike
was in 1966. Date: 04/28/24 13:37 Re: Fogg in Laramie Author: DavidP timz Wrote:

Why not the City of LA/SF? Dave Date: 04/28/24 14:16 Re: Fogg in Laramie Author: dan sure does look like one, the COP/cod was running thru denver not cheyenne at the time, with a larger train, COP at noon light vs COLA 5pm light

If it was, I think we'd see some SP cars, especially one or more of the ubiquitous economy baggage cars, and this train does appear to be solid yellow. Date: 04/28/24 15:39 Re: Fogg in Laramie Author: timz Indeed it does look like the CoLA/SF, except 104
wasn't due out of Laramie until 4:55 PM MST. Would have to be yesterday's train, 19 hours late. Date: 04/28/24 17:40 Re: Fogg in Laramie Author: MILW16 The later discovered slide data says 106, so it is the City of Portland. Impressive.
