.   .   .   being in the right place at the right time can be everything. During a summer '76 cross country trip, I was specifically looking for Bi Centennial units and while checking out the south end of ICG's Markum Yard, what do I see leaving but ICG's only BiCentennial unit 1776 leading one of each of the merged roads previous schemes as well as a trio of brand new EMD Sonora Baja California steam generator equipped GP40-2's. Should have went to the local liquor store and bought a lottery ticket. Did they have lottery tickets back then?
