Larry Date: 09/01/24 09:48 Re: Out the Window Author: RailRat Nice video work there, both pacing over the years, and then your late night editing came out Most Exellent!
Great condensed time capsule of all the variety of places you've been, and various railroads you've caught here. Date: 09/01/24 15:10 Re: Out the Window Author: RailRat I used to video like this too (solo) sometimes, while pacing in my pickup, but only on wide open and un-busy roads in Northern Nevada and Idaho.
Right eye in VHS cam viewfinder and left eye on the road ahead sometimes, not always, but that really messed with my eye focus and neck at end of long chase, because the back of VHS cam had to be resting on my right shoulder, and front of cam held up with right arm, all while turning neck and eye forward to make sure the road ahead was clear, and then back to viewfinder. Then I tried setting up a,tripod on passenger side of truck with one tripod leg extended to floor and two other legs short to seat. This freed me of having to hold camera while pacing and driving, until I hit a bump or rough road, but overall videos came out pretty smooth. Jim Baker Riverside, CA Edited 2 time(s). I like the 3751 pace and the C&NW. And also really like the caboose scene. |
