Nostalgia & History > Boise aerial -- says 1923Date: 09/04/24 08:51 Boise aerial -- says 1923 Author: timz Click on it and it enlarges nicely. The UP station looks small.

That must have been the original Boise depot seen in that view. The present beautifully preserved UP depot was built in 1925 on the south side of the river. Is the depot and track seen in this photo the original UP (OR&N) line through Boise? I don't believe any of the rail we see in this photo exists any longer.

the pic agree with it? (I see now -- I didn't know there were two UP lines thru Boise.) Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 09/04/24 16:56 by timz. Date: 09/05/24 15:12 Re: Boise aerial -- says 1923 Author: Frisco1522 I must not know how to search. Looking for aerials of St Louis area 20s-40s. No luck.

https://catalog.archives.gov/search-within/512841?sort=title%3Aasc They're mostly in alphabetical order by state. You can put 401 into the page-number box to get to the start of Missouri. And no doubt you'll find some stuff under Illinois --seems to me there's a couple of Alton, under Illinois.
