4/93 -   Wisconsin and Michigan Shortline did not last long - Ex SOO from Mellen, WI to Ironwood, MI

1) Two loads of ore to weigh on the head end
That's my '78 Impala next to our hyrail and me in the background seen above the hood of said hyrail
Chris Kivi
2) 5th Ave. Hurley, WI. ( rough town with lots of bars, gangster town back in 20's-30's)
3)West end of Hoyt ore yard on our way towards Mellen. (Chris Kivi)
either paint ore for DCS color in Milwaukee (they received lean ore) or rich ore for Prince Manufacturing in Quincy IL. Most likely rich ore for Prince as they were by far the biggest customer.

I was initially confused until I realized you said Ironwood, not NORTH Ironwood. In other words: the original Soo, not the former Duluth, South Shore & Atlantic that still exists but has long been dormant. All looks to be in a sorry state by this time; how much longer did it last?
