Let's recap: Bruce shot a westbound train from south of the tracks a little ways east of North Platte, right?

Got it! (Will there be a pop-quiz in the morning...?)

Not a bad catch by Bruce.  UP's sole high-nose SD24 on the point...  a former EMD demo unit.

White Horse Creek is now essentially an irrigation ditch at this point, and goes under the UP in a pair of culverts.  The bridge was removed during the triple tracking project.

I'll second E25's comment.  Finding 448 leading three SD24B's would defintely be a rare event and makes for a great looking engine consist.   Thanks for sharing the photo with us here on TO.

Is this a record for low ratio of windshield square footage to number of powered axles?  Looks like about 6 square feet of windshield and 24 powered axles...
