Do any of you have any photos or memories of the Lake Shore wreck in Little Falls, NY in April of 1940? NY Central Hudson 5315 was destroyed, the only Hudson written off (till Perlman wrote them ALL off). Several people killed and injured.

Go to "DOT Library On Line Special Collections" and you will find a very detailed report By the ICC on the accident I know its there because I read it--no conclusive evidence as to the cause but due to excessive speed on the curve --probably because Road Foreman and engineer were yaking . ---incidentally there are hundreds if not thousands of others.nycman wrote:

Video Rails(Pentrex)had a video called Train Wrecks,Crashes&Disasters(1934-1955).It shows some footage about the disaster at "death curve",along with narration.The video is still available by some vendors.
