Nostalgia & History > Heritage units everywhere(CR and Chessie)Date: 06/22/03 20:08 Heritage units everywhere(CR and Chessie) Author: CRmac80 Four heritage units from four railroads converge in Akron,ex Reading,Penn Central,C&O and Western Maryland-and the CR train is on the former Erie Lackawanna, and the Chessie one is on the B&O/PC.This was a great time to railfan with so many changes occurring around us.Little did we realize back then(and \'78 wasn\'t that long ago...)that even the new Conrail and Chessie would be gone too,not to mention the very track the 3277 is on.I hope you enjoy this look back.
