C&NW EMD GP7R 4160 built Oct. 1952 as CRI&P 1266, CRI&P rebuilt date Feb. 23, 1976, C&NW in-service date Nov. 17, 1981, and seen in Mankato, MN May 24, 1993.  Bill Kuba photo, Iowa Chapter NRHS collection

This variation in CNW paint was applied later than 1983 - perhaps the year the photograph was taken is 1993.

4160 is on the roster of the Illinois Railway Museum; it is currently painted in Bankruptcy Blue and wearing the number from its later Rock Island days, 4506.

Love the addition of the CNW herald on the nose.  Not a fan of the thin green band on top, tho.
