.   .   .   in JAN '14, a pair of MAC DPUs were bringing up the rear of a coal load descending southbound on the Joint Line in a winter wonderland through Monument, CO.

I find this amazing. I was a ATSF engineer on the Joint Line (joke line) from Aug. '78 to Oct '81. At that time we would have 6 SD40-2's/C30-7's on the head end and I would still be sucking seat cushion up my backside trying to keep the train at not exceeding 25 mph.
