Nostalgia & History > Fullerton, CA Friday with a private car special

On 4-23-92, caught this private car special with Amtrak "Pepsi Can" GE's on both ends passing the Santa Fe station at Fullerton. It is about to divert south towards San Diego. Unfortunately, I don't remember the purpose of the special and what cars those are, just that it was destined for San Juan Capistrano from LA and return. It did not stop at Fullerton.
On the same day, a San Diegan is passing through Fullerton.
Two days earlier on the 21st, here's the eastbound Desert Wind #36 arriving Fullerton with a big crowd waiting to board.

I was foaming that day (sans camera) at FUL.  I think the PVs were Native Son, Columbia River, Colonian Crafts, & Plaza Santa Fe.
