A couple of New Haven ALCo DL109s lead a passenger train at Stoney Breek CT. led by #0700 on August 29th, 1948 takenm by my Father Harry R. Lange. The New Haven used these diesels usually in pairs on passenger and freight trains.

Always in pairs for most of their lives, since they didn't have nose doors or m.u. 0727 was rebuilt in the 50's with a vertical nose door and m.u. for use in three-unit consists. Even uglier than the original!
