Nostalgia & History > Station Saturday: Remains of RochesterDate: 01/11/25 05:27 Station Saturday: Remains of Rochester Author: bandob In 2014 I was on a PV trip on a very late Lake Shore Limited, and got this view from the rear as we passed Rochester, NY. Is this all that is left of the New York Central Station?

Remnants of the station were in a basement tunnel affair with leaky water and pay toilets - quite the dismal scene if taking the remnants of the Empire Builder in my youth from Rochester, NY.

Empire State Express perhaps? Dave Date: 01/11/25 15:31 Re: Station Saturday: Remains of Rochester Author: RuleG In November 2023, we rode round trip from Buffalo to Rochester. During the layover in Rochester, I took photos of these two plaques describing inside the station describing Rochester's previous Bragdon Station and the remaining platform canopy.
