The two forward-facing bells are sounding, but something odd is happening when the valve closes. These 600's were the last new locomotives to come to the railroad with Leslie airhorns. The post-merger BNSF Dash 9's all came with Nathan/Airchime K3's, starting with Canadian-tuned K3L's on the 960-class orange and green units followed by American-tuned K3LA's on the warbonnet 700's and the hordes of orange units that followed. Wonder if there are any Leslies left on BNSF from either merger partner now.
