Seaboard Coast Line freight at Atlanta
Author: gcm

May 1978
A reworked slide.
I couldn't remember what part of Atlanta I was at but was told this was "Top of the Slide" at Tilford Yard on the south end.
Maybe an L&N switcher working in the distance.

SCL 1512 - GP40
SCL 1773 - U36B
L&N 2725 - U23B
Possibly another SCL GP40?

Gary

Nice catch and angle, looks like the switcher is working the lead to one of the local auto assembly plants or loading sites.

All the Atlanta area auto plants were on the SOU - Ford, Chevrolet, and Buick-Oldsmobile-Pontiac.
