I always like to find current day photos of the same locations.   This matches the second photo.  The house on the left is still there as well as the little bump in the curb.  The hydrant on the right is still in place too.

An eastbound heading towards Sacramento, with 660 as the helper power. The handover of the Oakland Terminal's freight to the SN was done in the middle of an otherwise quiet residential neighborhood.
