1 - SP #400446 - Southern Pacific 2 bay covered hopper car in an Eastbound SP train going thru the Santa Barbara Califpornia yard on June 25th, 1976.
2 - SPMW #5312 - Southern Pacific water car taken on June 27th, 1976 in San Luis Obispo California across from the SP station.
3 - SP #337916 - Southern Pacific gondola with load in a Westbound SP train in Santa Barbara California in August of 1976.

Those 2 bay hoppers served the sand and gravel operation next door to the Goleta depot. We used to climb on them when we were kids.
Those water cars sat at the top of Cuesta Grade for years. Mainline Modeler magazine did a several part article on modeling them way back when.
