NH #1331 on Passenger in 1947
Author: choochoochas

New Haven 4-6-2 @1331 leads a Southbound passenger train leaving Waterbury Connecticut and out of the picture to the left on a hill is the NYNH&H Waterbury roundhouse and yard taken in 1947 by my Father Harry R. Lange.

I'm really liking all your photos.  Besides the trains, all the interesting scenery.  The cars, buildings and telegraph poles.  Just before I was born.

Thanks, and I hope you have a bunch more.

Where's that Waterbury station tower hiding?

I think I see it between the tall chimney of the building to the right of the train and the house behind that businesses tall chimney.

Thsank you for posting this. As much as I like your roster shots, it is scenes like this that make the steam era come alive for me.

Very nice!  I think the I-84 bridge now dominates that location.
